Here is how Burnlounge came about and what caused Alex Arnold (Founder, CEO) to write his initial business plan.
He was trying to get a local group signed with the major labels with no success and became very frustrated. He spent a lot of his own money trying to accomplish this with every door slammed by the major labels. He said to himself: "There has got to be a better way."
So he contacted Stephen Murray and Ryan Dadd who are his current business partners, and said: "What if we could create a win-win situation which would allow people to own their own online record store and market the music of their favorite artists whether they are a major artist or a local artist? This model would also help stop the pirating and allow music fans everywhere to profit from the music and entertainment industry.”
And so, BAND TO FAN RETAIL was created!
Ultimately the Burnlounge model was built because of the company's passion for independent music. BurnLounge is into creating opportunities for artists who may not otherwise have an opportunity. Artists can use the Burnlounge model to turn a local or regional fan base into a national and, soon, even international street team selling their music for them.
